Stacia Joy is a childhood paleontologist-wannabe who now settles for sating her thirst for adventure and discovery through art and storytelling. Currently in her final semester of the Rhode Island School of Design Illustration Certificate Program, she works mainly in digital painting and cut paper, with a focus on tongue-in-cheek contrasts between and within characters, and a fascination for the natural world. 

 

   When not doodling, she drinks a lot of black coffee, wanderlusts about mountains, and writes just a little bit. Her poetry has been published in the Brown/RISD Cornerstone magazine, and she has two public collections of poetry available online: BARE BONES, and THE SWEET CHAOS. Upon completion, her current WIP novel THE FIRE-KEEPER will be a featured sci-fi/action-adventure title on Wattpad.
