PHOENIX THIEF
Illustrations for a fantasy steampunk YA novel of overcoming the odds by facing those within, first, and the bright hope of human connection in the face of despair. Design cues were drawn from Czarist Russia and American Mountain Men of the early 1800s, tying individual internal struggles to the pain and pomp of war, and the challenge and glory of conquering the wild unknown.
